Mandatory Exam Security Acknowledgement

13 May 2026

In order to ensure that all examinations conducted by the Mathematics Department are carried out under secure, transparent, auditable, and equal conditions:

 1. During the examination, students are prohibited from having mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, smart glasses, headphones, or any similar electronic communication, data storage, and information access devices on their person or within their reach.

2. The fact that the aforementioned devices are turned on or off, not in use, or have not been activated during the exam does not negate the fact that this prohibition has been violated.

3. The exams of students who are found by exam proctors to have such devices in their possession during the examination, and where this finding is officially recorded, shall be deemed invalid.

4. Proctors serving in the examination halls are responsible for the smooth conduct of the exam and hold full authority in this regard. Proctors may change students’ seats or remove individuals whose behavior violates exam rules from the hall. Action will be taken by the exam proctors against those who exhibit behaviors that disrupt exam order or distract and disturb other students. Students are obliged to comply with all warnings issued by the exam staff.

The provisions of this decision are announced on the course website; they are also communicated to students via email before the exam and orally during the exam. Students will not be admitted to the exam unless they accept these provisions electronically before the exam or by signing them before the exam begins. These rules apply to all written examinations conducted by the Mathematics Department.
